Creative cooperation program “UNESCO Creative Cities of the BRICS countries: Art Together”
The Project Office for International Youth Cooperation “Russia - BRICS” invites to take part in the Creative cooperation program “UNESCO Creative Cities of the BRICS countries: Art Together”.
The program is aimed at stimulating intellectual interaction of participating cities, exchange of experience in the field of culture and art and implementation of joint international projects. The importance of global dialogue is particularly acute today, when state leaders often work in conditions of sanctions, rhetoric of intimidation and escalation of tension. People of different countries who are committed to peaceful cooperation have always been an instrument of “soft power” – preventing and smoothing out sharp conflicts, contradictions and understatement.
The Creative Cooperation Program "UNESCO Creative Cities of the BRICS countries: Art Together" will include six regular online discussions (1,5 hours each, July - December 2022) between representatives of UNESCO Creative Cities of the BRICS+ countries - Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa and others. Within the framework of the program, experts will share the successful experience of the communities of their cities, which are part of the UNESCO Creative Network.
The program is initiated by the city of Ulyanovsk, which became the first Russian city to join the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in 2015 (“Literature”).
Organizer invites cultural and humanitarian organizations of the BRICS countries as well as municipalities represented by the directorates of UNESCO Creative Cities to participate in the discussions.
First session is scheduled on July 15, 2022 (Friday), 14:00-15:30 (Moscow time).
To participate in the event please apply before July 14, 2022.
Working language - English.
