2022-01-23 / Анонсы
On January 27, 2022 South African BRICS Think Tank will host BRICS Dialogue: China’s BRICS Presidency 2022 – Key Priorities and Opportunities.
China, a global power, and supporter of multilateralism, has assumed the rotating BRICS Presidency for 2022. This dialogue presents an opportunity to engage in a discussion of China’s priorities for its 2022 BRICS Presidency and overarching foreign policy goals. Critical to this, is an understanding of the foundations for China’s foreign policy, the principles that guide China, and areas that are of mutual concern and interest to China and its BRICS partners. Identifying further opportunities for bilateral cooperation between China and South Africa, as well as nodes of growth for intra-BRICS cooperation and deeper integration, is essential. This dialogue will also reflect Chinese discourse on the current global economic climate, and more importantly, share insights that would be of use to policymakers, researchers, students and interested citizens.
