First international BRICS Education Conclave
BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BRICS-CCI) jointly with The BRICS International Forum (BRICS-IF) is pleased to invite you to the first international BRICS Education Conclave to be held on Friday May 20th & Saturday May 21st, 2016 at the Asia Pacific Institute of Management, Jasola, New Delhi.
The two-day Conclave is aimed at promoting the BRICS, SCO, CIS and ASEAN countries as destinations of higher education and will bring together members of the international academia, university counsellors and students at a common platform to discuss the prospects, processes and benefits of studying in these nations.
The Conclave will explore themes of state and private higher education institutions, colleges, vocational schools, training centres, language schools and courses, as well as will provide information on new study programmes, and about the services for students and educational institutions. The primary focus will be on informing the participants about:
- Colleges across BRICS and Observer nations
- Courses offered to Foreign Students
- Admission Criteria & Fee Structure
- University’s vision and expectations from the formation of BRICS Network University
Since, there is a lack of information about the education opportunities in BRICS and Observer countries, the Conclave will create awareness among the prospective students and academia. It will also help universities to recruit students from India. The BRICS Education Conclave also aims to include the agenda set by students and academia in strengthening of the BRICS education system and the conceptualization of the proposed BRICS Network University and for this purpose we are inviting the participants to bring forth their ideas in the form of paper presentations. The suggested themes for the paper presentations are:
- The emergence of Smart Education
- How to improve ‘employ ability’ and how to promote the practice of ‘earn while you learn’
- Ways to focus on skill development
- Setting the agenda of the BRICS Network University
- Identifying the lacuna in promoting BRICS and Observer nations as destinations of higher education
With the emergence of BRICS as a block to reckon with, the education sector in these nations is also making rapid and progressive strides. Also, with the close social, economic and cultural ties that these nations enjoy, there is greater ease in terms of offering higher education. With this education conclave, we want to capitalise on the opportunities that the strengthening of BRICS presents to us and we want to invite you to be part of this journey.
